At YMCA Mill Hollow, we ask a RN (or higher) to volunteer in our Health Center each week. In return, the Volunteer Nurses can have their children come up to camp for free! Do you have an administrative or professional skillset you’d like to contribute to the YMCA? Utilize your skills to assist the Y with tasks such as accounting, proofreading, graphic design, photography, contract review, and more! In YMCA Afterschool Programs, we’re dedicated to providing a safe, enriching environment where children can thrive outside of school hours. Our Afterschool Programs combine dedicated homework time, enrichment activities, and playtime to create the perfect environment for kids to learn, grow, and thrive. Most importantly, our programs foster academic success, physical well-being, and social development in a fun and supportive setting! As an Afterschool Program Volunteer, you’ll assist YMCA staff in providing homework help, playing games, organizing fun activities, and ensuring all program participants are learning, growing, and thriving! Schedule – Our Afterschool Programs run Monday through Friday from around 3 PM to 6 PM, depending on location. Flexible scheduling – we’ll work with you to determine a volunteer schedule based on your availability! Program Participants – Our elementary afterschool program participants are ages 5 – 11 and our junior high afterschool program (Teen Club) participants are ages 11 – 14. Let us know which age group you’re interested in volunteering with. Locations – Taylorsville YMCA Community Family Center, Foxhills Elementary, Eisenhower Junior High Required Volunteer Credentials – Interview (phone or video), Background Check, Reference Check, Online Training Course, YMCA Policy Agreements No prior education/childcare experience required! Are you planning a Volunteer Day/Event for your corporation? Looking for a way to give back? Volunteer at the Y! We’ll work with your team to create a Corporate Volunteer Project you can be proud of – whether it’s clearing trails and gathering firewood at our Overnight Camps, assisting with facility maintenance projects at our Community Family Centers, or reading to children at our Preschool and Afterschool Programs! Locations – Various locations throughout Salt Lake, Weber, and Wasatch. Summer Day Camp Volunteer

YMCA of Northern Utah

Our Summer Day Camps are designed to inspire confidence, curiosity, and friendship every single day, helping campers develop character and make memories that last. With age-specific activities tailored to each developmental stage, every camper can dive into what interests them most. Through a values-driven approach that blends fun with character-building, inclusivity, and community, the Y is dedicated to making every child’s summer unforgettable! As a Summer Day Camp Volunteer, you’ll assist YMCA Staff in setting up and organizing activities, supervising participants, and playing fun games. Volunteers may be outdoors or standing for prolonged periods of time – if you need any accommodations, please discuss them during your volunteer interview. Schedule – Our Summer Day Camp Programs run from May through August, Monday through Friday from around 8 AM to 6 PM, depending on location. Flexible scheduling – we’ll work with you to determine a volunteer schedule based on your availability! Program Participants – Our Summer Day Camp participants range in age from 5 – 12, depending on location. Locations – Salt Lake (Taylorsville YMCA Community Family Center), Weber (Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation YMCA Community Family Center, Polk Elementary), Davis (Weber State Davis), Park City (Treasure Mountain Junior High) Required Volunteer Credentials – Interview (phone or video), Background Check, Reference Check, Online Training Course, YMCA Policy Agreements No prior education/childcare experience required!
